My Daily Routine: Pranamat
Well, this has to be one of those rare occasions when I myself had expressed an interest to try the product. I probably do not come across as fitness/healthy lifestyle blogger but I did start doing my little bit by being a regular in the gym and trying to live healthier life overall. There comes the time when you don't just want to look good but also feel good (I personally didn't feel the need to exercise nor watch my diet until like last year) and after seeing Pranamat pop up here and there on the Internet, I was really curious to try it myself.
So fashion aside, I thought I'd share a little review with you guys along with some of my routine bits. To be fair, I've given it over a month to test Pranamat and monitor its effects on me.
My biggest problem over the past year has been an inability to fall asleep at appropriate hours and, as a result, struggling to wake up early feeling rested and recharged. Trust me, placing this mini Pranamat in the bathroom and having my feet on it as I brush my teeth has been the best idea ever. If this massage doesn't wake you up, I don't know what will!
I may have moved from the UK but I'm still a sucker for "Rituals" everything, been loving their stuff for years.
Speaking of rituals, planning my day and organizing work/projects over a cup of coffee has got to be one of them for me. I hardly use my phone for this type of things and always prefer to put everything in writing. This year I'm loving Womens Planner in addition to my usual Moleskin.
Now morning sunshine peeking through living-room French windows surely looks inviting for a bit of a morning stretch?
Although I've read that certain people might need some time to get used to Pranamat and use thin socks/leggings in the beginning, I felt comfortable using it on my bare skin from the first few uses.
I don't want to get too technical here as detailed information about how it works, why is it better than other alternatives etc can of course be found on their website and I myself did a lot of reading beforehand but I would rather just tell you about my own experience. I've never tried acupuncture in my life but it is said to have the similar effects- improved blood circulation, elimination of toxins and muscle relaxation.
What I love about Pranamat is that it takes zero effort to use it: anybody can find 15 minutes a day to stand/sit/lay on it while doing their make-up/reading/watching a film, you name it. I will literally carry it around the house and use it on different areas whenever I can so it's never shoved away, really.
As a Mother more often than not I feel guilty to splurge on SPA treatments or massages so my skin care routine is kept to the minimum and that's why I couldn't help but notice the difference in my skin and how much more toned it has become. Who doesn't want to keep their body cellulite-free anyway?
After the first week I also started carrying my mini Pranamat to the gym with me to use at the end of workout sessions. What I tend to notice is that if I'm having muscle ache after weight trainings it really helps to get rid of the pain quicker and relax my body overall.
Sometimes I'll get my son to stand on it with me just to stimulate nerves and all of the important points. He is so easy to trick, I just challenge him by "who lasts longer?" but hey, it's for his own health benefits!
Last but not least- it looks good and yes, for someone as picky as myself it's an important aspect. If you are around my age you may remember those green grass-like old alternatives from our Grandmothers houses- not so pretty!
Hope it comes handy to some of you and feel free to ask questions below shall you have any x
