So this past weekend I finally took my boy to our only barbershop in town to have his afro chopped. Yes it's only just hair and it will grow back but this decision still did not come easy. We loved it this way and have been growing it out for over a year.
However, with a hat on most of the time now, it was beginning to look messy and he wouldn't let me comb it properly. I am not a fan of tricky haircuts and hairstyles especially when it comes to children, besides it's quite hard to find somebody that can work with my son's type of hair in my city, so we went for the most simple cut.
I wore my Massimo Dutti coat (similars: designer/highstreet), Guess hat (designer/highstreet), Kurt Geiger boots (heels/wedges).
I do not remember where my little bow is from as I've had it for ages but here are some alternatives: embellished, chiffon and satin. It's good to have such little accessories that can change the look of your basics.
Although it might seem easy, the whole thing actually took 2.5 hours (!!!) because of the amount of hair but after one too many cups of coffee, we were all done.
Still not used to it but I think it turned out okay. What do you think? Not sure whether to keep it short or start growing it back. X
