Oasis coat via ASOS | United Colors of Benetton dress | Chanel purse (borrowed from friend) | Mulberry boots | Michael Kors watch

Remember this pink coat and Chanel bag combo from a couple of years ago? This new one from Oasis has been sitting in my watch list for a while before it became available in my size, and it's lovely.

On a general note, I happened to notice that my habit of buying things has changed over the past years. I am way over the excitement of high street and online shopping as well as blog collaborations with mass market retailers that I was so into when I first moved to London and started this blog. Nowadays I purchase significantly less clothes and shoes but what I do buy or accept as gifts for the blog, tends to really last and I get a whole lot of wear out of it. Somehow I like it much better this way, same goes for my son's wardrobe or our home, anything.

This Benetton dress must be as old as my son, no jokes! And these Mulberry boots, a present from my best friend, have been serving me like no other pair throughout the past year; I don't know how I would have survived without them in London without compromising either comfort or class.

What about you? Do you go for quality or quantity? I'm curious to know!

  10. Most of the time I go for quantity... When I'll start working and be able to buy anything I want, I'll go for quality for sure ! :) But I always compare a good value for money to make sure that my clothes can resist during many years, as we all know that fashion is a cycle!
Sorry if my english is bad... French is my first language :(

    1. I totally understand what you mean. You are too young, I wouldn't worry about it now. I feel as you grow older, you want to go for something more classy and of higher quality... Right now you can get away with anything x

  14. Awesome post, you really made me think! Since I'm just a student, I go for quantity but always trying to buy better quality materials and something that would last for years. Maybe it's because I follow so many bloggers who have tons of clothes and always feel I've got nothing to wear, haha :) Anyways, it would be really great if you start posting more pairings with same item, it would really inspire someone like me. Greetings from Croatia :)

    1. Thanks for your opinion darling, it's much appreciated! If you are buying wisely like you described then that's fine, I used to end up with bunch of odd clothes that I'd never wear again after one blog post. xx

  15. I am right there with you darling!
When I started my blog three years ago, I would buy and accept way too many items that did not last or would go out of style in a heart beat.
Now I think twice before I purchase anything and only buy clothing when I know it will wear it for years to come.

I own a beautiful pink coat by Carven and seeing you wear this fabulous pink number makes me want to grab it out of the closet like right now.

You look beautiful as always my dear, such a classy and timeless combo.

    Much love Tamara Chloé xx

  18. Hi darling,

How sweet of you to pass by my blog and leave such a lovely comment.
    Thanks so much!
As for the hat I was wearing; I bought it just recently (a few weeks ago) at River Island, but in their store and not online;)
Do check it out whenever you get the chance to pass by, they might still sell them!

Kisses and enjoy a great week xx,
